Certifying of Quorum & Call to Order

Meeting called to order at 12:05pm on October 29, 2017 by Barbara Rowbotham.

The notice of the board meeting was posted on October 27, 2017.

Reading and Approval of the Minutes

A motion was made by Barbara Ellis to waive the reading of the minutes because the minutes were not available. Seconded by Tom Cassidy. All approved: Barbara Rowbotham, Dan Creedon, Tom Cassidy, Sharon Dowling, Barbara Ellis, Pierre Forget and Bill Todd. All opposed: None.

New Business

Barbara Rowbotham presented four options for replacing the lobby chandelier.

Option 1 – Hanging from a round flush disk with 30+ customizable round globes that will cascade throughout the space.

Option 2 – Hanging from a round flush disk with 16 hanging pieces covered with metal that will cascade throughout the space. Concerns of rusting and inadequate light.

Option 3 – Hanging from a rectangular flush disk with 12 pendents and could only go 12 feet in length.Concerns over how it would look in the space and inadequate lighting. This was also more expensive than above choices.

Option 4 – A large chain hung chandelier that had fifty lights but to get it big enough for our needs would cost over $50,000.

A motion was made to proceed with option 1. All approved: Barbara Rowbotham, Dan Creedon, Tom Cassidy, Sharon Dowling, Barbara Ellis. All opposed: None. Abstained: Pierre Forget and Bill Todd. Bill did not feel he had been kept current on the chandelier project.
